Nello, a poor orphan boy and Patrasche, an abandoned stray dog, become the best of friends. Each day they go to the City together. The two of them visit Our Lady Mary’s Cathedral, where Nello tries to get a glimpse of the paintings of his big hero, Rubens. After a series of setbacks, the lives of Nello and Patrasche come to an end in that same church. A message of pride and unconditional friendship is the main theme in this world famous and moving story.
